Our family team
The Free Range Butcher began as a family business, and continues to be a family affair. Ben Clinch is the boss man (his words), and together with his wife Alison, and his father Peter, it was this team that set up and manned the market stalls in the early days of the business. Like all family businesses we have been generously supported by our wider family with extra help at the markets, packing orders, making deliveries, cleaning, renovating, demolishing, babysitting, doing the accounts, and even investing in the business. To all of our family we say a very big “thank you”.
These days, Ben is still the main guy at the markets. You can normally find him out the front of the stall; often telling bad jokes, or offering samples to vegetarians. Alison is more ‘behind the scenes’ now, and keeping busy with two young apprentices’ kids, Tom and Georgia. Peter is spending more time on the farm, but still enjoys his monthly visits to the farmers markets. Peter is really passionate about farming and living in the country and can talk the ear off anyone who’d like to chat.
Our farmers market team
Our business started at farmers markets and they continue to be the cornerstone of our business. We have a great team who start (very) early and brave the elements all year to set up our stalls every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at various locations.
Our processing, orders and delivery team
Without our wonderful teams at Gosford and on the Northern Beaches we’d be lost. The guys at Gosford are responsible for processing, preparing and packaging all of our products. And once in Sydney, the team in Mona Vale pack orders and take care of home deliveries.
